These Terms and Conditions apply to all photography services provided by Yellow Hippie Studio, a mobile photo studio run by Georgina Avila in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada (“we”, “us”, “our”). By booking a session, you (“the client”) agree to these terms.

1. Our services

Yellow Hippie Studio is a mobile photo studio. Sessions can take place:

  • At the client’s home, where we bring all the equipment needed. An additional $50/hr CAD applies if you would like a studio backdrop and flashes.
  • Outdoors, at one of our suggested locations or a location of your choice.
  • In a studio space, with an additional $50–80/hr CAD for the studio rental.

We recommend booking a free phone consultation first to go over the details of your session.

2. Booking and session retainer

  • A non-refundable Session Retainer fee is due at the time of booking to reserve your date and time.
  • Current retainer fees are $155 CAD for a Regular Session and $190 CAD for a Newborn Session.
  • The retainer includes a one-hour photo session and a 45-minute Zoom appointment where you can view a collection of the best fully edited images from your session.
  • Your date is only confirmed once the retainer has been paid.

3. Images, galleries and other purchases

  • Digital images, print products and travelling fees are not included in the retainer and are purchased separately.
  • Gallery packages:
    • Gold: all high-resolution images, $577 CAD
    • Silver: 10 high-resolution images, $360 CAD
    • Bronze: 5 high-resolution images, $210 CAD
  • Images are delivered fully edited. We do not provide unedited (RAW) files.
  • All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and do not include applicable taxes, which will be added where required.

4. Rescheduling and cancellations

  • The Session Retainer fee is non-refundable.
  • If you need to reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to find a new date, subject to availability.
  • If we must cancel or reschedule because of illness, emergency or unsafe weather, we will offer you a new date at no extra cost.
  • Outdoor sessions may be moved because of rain or poor light. We will agree on a new date with you or offer the studio option.

5. On the day of the session

  • Please be on time. Late arrivals may shorten the session, since it is booked for one hour.
  • For sessions in your home, please make sure the space is ready and safe for photography.
  • Children and pets remain the responsibility of their parents or owners at all times.

6. Copyright and use of images

  • Yellow Hippie Studio keeps the copyright to all images.
  • Clients receive a personal-use licence for the images they purchase: for example to print, share with family and post on personal social media. Commercial use requires our written permission.
  • Please do not edit or apply filters to the images you receive, and give credit to Yellow Hippie Studio when you share them online.
  • We will only use your images in our portfolio, website or social media with your consent, as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Liability

We take great care with every session and every file. If, in a rare case, images are lost or damaged because of equipment failure or other events beyond our control, our liability is limited to a refund of the amounts you have paid for the affected session.

8. Privacy

We handle your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
